PT Suntech Plastics Industries was established in Batam on October 5, 1999. The company chose Batam as its production location due to the island’s strategic position near Singapore and Malaysia, which are major international shipping routes.
Suntech Batam’s factory is located at Jalan Citra Buana Industrial Park III No. Lot 15, Batam Center, where it manufactures various plastic components for electronic parts, bicycles, batteries, household appliances, and other products.
The products manufactured include bicycle components, plastic casings for office automation equipment, speakers, power supply casings, and many others. All of these products are produced for both domestic sales and export markets, including Bulgaria, Finland, Macedonia, and several Asian countries.
